November 27th Bipolar Babe Benefit featuring Hair Garden Salon
Bipolar Babe Benefit featuring Hair show by The Hair Garden Salon! Including fashions from Develish Damsels, Freedom, Hemp & Co. and the Victoria Costume shop. Lets have a fabulous fun filled evening and help STOMP out the Stigma of Mental ILLNESS!
Serving up the best in fashion, Art and Mental Health Education the evening will also include music performed by Christoph and our special guests The GRATiDUDES! The evening will consist of a Hair/Fashion show with are models Bipolar Babe, Depressed Diva and Post Pardum Princess! Devilish Damsels, Freedom and the Victoria costume shop will be the featured fashions for our show! The Hair Garden salon will be turning heads with Marie inspired styles, the 1930's, Urban glam, and a little Eco with a Twist! So come on out and purchase Tix for this never done before EVENT!! We are kicking off our first BIPOLAR BABE BENEFIT on Friday, November 27, 7:30pm at the Victoria Event Centre at 1415 Broad Street in downtown Victoria.The Bipolar Babe project was officially launched on May 14, 09 and one major goal of the project is to create school programs that facilitate stigma free conversations about mental health. Bipolar Babe has been extremely active in the community and media and is very eager to take these chats to the kids in classrooms! The Hair Show is being produced by Jennifer Davies, the Hair Diva of the Eco-friendly Hair Garden Salon located in the Rail Yards in Vic West. Bipolar Babe is very grateful for Jennifer’s commitment to creating an amazing world of acceptance and understanding for people with mental illness. www.hairgarden.ca Don't miss the art gala commencing once doors open and local artists have kindly donated prints for silent auction. All artists are gifted with a mental health condition and like Van Gogh, they are here to express and share their abundant creative energy. There will also be several other amazing silent auction items including a raffle for a 3-day getaway to the Moosehaven Resort in Northern BC. Experience an evening of wall gazing, funky beats by internationally acclaimed DJ Christoph and local artist Kia Kadiri opening the show with her inspiring talent. Prepare for a stunning and unique runway hair show intertwined with mental health education.
