SNAP Victoria Covers Earth Day Event
Snap Victoria, the new definitive monthly source of the many community events, celebrations and business gatherings in Victoria, covered our Green Collective Earth Day Event. The Great Green Goodie Giveaway and $1200 Shopping Spree (as seen in the previous blog post) happened on April 18th 2009 at our Victoria location of Fiber Options Naturals. Fiber Options Naturals at The Hair Garden Salon
On Thursday June 4th, Fiber Options Naturals Victoria attended an open house at The Hair Garden Salon. The event was a part of the VBN's Member Hosted Open House series. It was an evening of networking in the intimate and gorgeous setting of The Hair Garden Salon. The Hair Garden is owned and operated by the spunky and passionate Jennifer Davies. The Salon is located in the RailYards, and is a home based business. It is an Eco-friendly, ammonia free zone, where the features of 20% off Mom Makeover Mondays, and "Baby Sitter on Board" are exceptionally great for mums looking to be pampered in a kid friendly zone! We had a great time with this fellow VBN and Green Collective member. We think it is a great service that Jennifer is offering, so we decided to feature it on our blog!

We have women's tops, pants, skirts, dresses, jackets - you name it - in soy, bamboo, organic cotton, hemp, merino wool, and tencel. We also have a large Men's section, which includes the coveted line of Icebreaker Merino Wool. Our children's section is focused on baby-toddler attire, and includes many organic cotton goodies for your newborn. There are baby slings, onesies, socks, teething rings, towels, and much much more! We also have a large section of Eco-accessories for both men and women. There are many hats in the store to chose from, along with bags and wallets made out of hemp, recycled materials, or cork! Our home accessories selection varies at each location, but you can find organic cotton sheets, towels, candles, and many gift ideas at the various stores. Styled hair for "Greenlaw" Warriors video
This is the first Single to be released by Greenlaw and Formation Records UK. Inspired by all those who are working hard to overcome negativity and fear in order to follow thier hearts.
I am happy to have helped out with the hairstyles for Ozzie and Skyla! Everyone had an amazing time! I was eight months pregnant and I could feel my son kicking and moving to the beat of Warrior, each time they played!

The Hair Garden is a member of the "Values-Based Business Network"
What We Do
The network is an affiliation of business people, non-profit leaders and educators dedicated to creating a sustainable business culture in the capital region. Our board and volunteer committee members include experts in marketing, communications, event planning, sustainable business, ethical investing, corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship and the environment.
The network's mission is to create a sustainable business culture in the capital region that will ultimately benefit all residents of the region. Our three areas of focus — education, networking and celebration — will give the tools, resources and skills necessary for success to anyone who desires them.
We provide a place where corporate social responsibility is celebrated, recognized and championed. In creating this context and space “more better and different” efforts will be realized. As a result the purpose of the organization will be fulfilled and all including the marginalized will benefit. That is to say, celebrating what it is that makes these enterprises unique — their commitment to people and planet as well as profits will in the end build “a local living economy” which benefits all.
