Bipolar Babe Benefit

The Bipolar Babe project was officially launched on May 14th 2009 with the goal of creating school-based programs that facilitate stigma-free conversations about mental health. Bipolar Babe has been extremely active in the community and media and is eager to take these chats to the kids in classrooms. To celebrate this, the Bipolar Disorder Society of British Columbia staged their 1st Annual Bipolar Babe Hair, Fashion & Art show.Society founder Andrea Paquette and a dedicated team of volunteers put together a fun and memorable evening that included an exceptional art gala featuring works from eight local artists, several from the Pandora Arts Collective, hair magic provided by Jennifer Davies and the eco-friendly Hair Garden Salon, hip and fashionable clothing from Hemp and Company, Shift Natural Clothing, Freedom, & Devilish Damsels, makeup and fashion headed by Katy Baker and numerous door prizes combined with an impressive silent auction. To finish off the show, the audience all stood together on cue and stomped the floor in unison chanting “Stomp out Stigma”
